CELEBRATING 25 YEARS IN BUSINESS!  AFI opened its door for business in 1996. Oscar and Michelle Almeida started the agency one year after college graduation.  Currently celebrating over 25 years in business and 31 years experience in the insurance industry!  You can place your trust in AFI Insurance!

Oscar worked for a captive insurance company straight out of high school. While attending college, he worked for a captive insurance agent in his respective company. This gave him the experience firsthand of what customers come to expect from an agency. After getting his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, he worked for the same company’s claims department. This furthered his training for his own agency. He knows what to offer clients in the event of a claim, understands the procedures and how to best advise those involved. He has experience in Controllers, Human Resources, Underwriting and Sales. His background in all the departments has educated him in every aspect of insurance. This made him an educated and valuable agent. He has valuable information on the insurance industry to share with the public. Oscar has had (Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow) LUTCF training, providing product knowledge and sales skills. His experience helps him inform his customers in the best way possible.

Michelle Almeida received her bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado at Boulder and Juris Doctorate from CU Law School. She is key to the AFI organization and will provide clients with quality service. Michelle educates clients that visit AFI and wants them to be comfortable about the products they are receiving and their options. You will be well informed on your products and choices and provided with rapid responses to questions and necessary changes.  Michelle focuses on the marketing and retention of clients and customer care. Michelle’s focus is also on the community and has sponsored booths for the local and surrounding area. Michelle has been the owner and operator of AFI since 1996 and has the background and experience to offer the best service to her clients.
